Application Guidelines
The Mead Family Foundation no longer accepts unsolicited letters of intent (LOI) and/or grant proposals.
High-impact organizations meeting the foundation’s mission, core funding areas and geographic focus will be invited to submit an online application for funding. Starting in 2012, the Mead Family Foundation will have only one funding cycle. Organizations invited to apply will be notified on March 1, 2012 and applications will be due on April 15, 2012.
The Mead Family Foundation seeks to empower youth to have crisis-free lives, strong families and excellent education.
The Foundation makes grants to organizations with programs in the following areas:
- Crisis prevention in children and youth
- K-12 education
- Arts education
- Strengthening families
Grants are limited to the following geographic areas:
- Washington, DC
- Maryland
- North Carolina
- Selected international locations
